History: Black berry vine of ancient origin. It comes from the lands that were before the Marquisate and then the Duchy of Monferrato. What encouraged the farmers to plant this quality of grapes en masse was abundant production, the high yield of the must, the adaptability to the type of soil and the climate and the richness of coloring matter. 800 ca. he increased his production, as a vine able to resist the fi lossera that had destroyed many vineyards. The Barbera grape testifies in an exemplary manner the singular fortune of the Langhe and Roero territory: producing great wines for aging and, at the same time, giving away emotions in younger wines.
