Barbera d’Asti Terre Rosse DOCG
Barbera d’Asti “Terre Rosse” DOCG has strong but never too aggressive tannins, a good body and a balanced acidity. It has an extraordinary drinkability and is excellent as an aperitif or to accompany hors d’oeuvres, salami, traditional dishes and lightly seasoned cheeses or for daily consumption.
It is advisable to taste DOCG “Terre Rosse” DOCG at an average temperature of about 18 ° – 20 ° and to uncork the bottle a few moments before.
Vinification generally takes place with maceration on the skins for at least 6-7 days with daily pumping over while the malolactic fermentation takes place in the months to follow before winter. After some decanting operations in which it naturally stabilizes, the wine is bottled in the spring to follow between the month of April and the month of May and reaches the right balance with a very short rest in the bottle.
